3 cups all purpose flour (360 grams / 12.7 oz)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tsp orange extract
⅔ cup buttermilk
⅓ cup orange juice
1 cup candied orange peel
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 325, grease and flour 2 4x8 loaf pans.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in a bowl, set aside
In a large bowl combine sugar, oil, eggs, and orange extract.
Alternately add dry ingredients with buttermilk. Stir until just moistened.
Fold in orange peel and nuts.
Divide into the two prepared loaf pans. Bake at 325 for 1 hour or until bread tests done (200-205 internal temp or toothpick comes out clean). 300 oven temperature if using dark nonstick pans.
Cool 10 minutes in pans before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
